The William J. Watkins, Sr. Educational Institute’s (a 501c3 non-profit organization) mission is to ensure that ALL students, especially those in underserved and under-resourced communities receive the best education possible. To achieve our mission, we train educators in culturally responsive pedagogy empowering them with the tools to reach ALL students. We provide direct services to youth through our Exploring My Roots genealogy program, a partnership with the Baltimore African American Historical and Genealogical Society training youth to conduct family history.  Our Histematics program enhances students’ math and literacy skills through African centered texts. We also support the pipeline of Black Male Educators through our renewed Kamau Imani Parker-Morrison Teacher Scholarship. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us continue this vital work.
