The scholars in our Summer 2026 Histematics program are in the full “go mode” diving deep into Malcolm X and The Black Panther Party while decoding math word problems and applying math concepts to real life situations. They have also been having good times expanding their learning during field trips. So far, they have visited Morgans State University for a tour and a stop at the James E. Lewis Museum of Art, and The Lewis Museum. This year we have added supplemental programing partnering with the Baltimore African American Historical and Genealogical Society. The Exploring My Roots cohort are learning how to conduct family history while building their own family trees. There’s more to come.
